Atie (Malki) Monayarji, 90, passed away peacefully Friday, December 11, 2020 at her home in Central Falls. She was surrounded by her family.
Her husband, Mikael Monayarji died in 1986. She was predeceased by her two children, Joseph Monayarji and Farhah Malki, three sisters, Mounira Taban, Georgette Taban and Angelle Nadaf, her brother-in-law Hanna Mnayarji and his wife Anniseh. She is survived by her four children, her daughter Najwa Monayarji, her son, Karim Menairji and his wife Melissa, her daughter Baha Raheb and her husband Deacon Nedal Raheb, her son, Aboud Monayarji and his wife Feryal,her daughter-in-law Souad Monayarji eighteen grandchildren, Dolly Monayarji Towne, Joyce Monayarji Torres, Michelle Monayarji Alzate, Gina Malki, John Malki, Amal Malki, Shammyram Malki, Sousou Malki, George Chokri, Huda Chokri, Charbal Chokri, Zukaa Chokri; Amanda Menairji, Gianna Menairji, Attorney Janet M. Raheb, Grace Raheb, Natalie Raheb, Andrea Monayarji, seventeen great grandchildren, two sisters in Syria, Samira Em Tanous, Laila Sayegh, and many nieces and nephews. She was born in 1930 in Hassake, Syria, daughter of Abdelahad and Marine Malki.
Atie was a devoted member of St. Ephraim’s Syriac Orthodox Church in Central Falls, Rhode Island. She loved her church immensely and loved her family even more. Atie was the kindest woman with a heart of gold and always had a smile on her face. She was an incredible woman who enjoyed hosting people and being with her family.
Due to COVID restrictions, Funeral services will be private and limited to immediate family only. The Funeral will be available via livestream for all who wish to pay their respects.
